Energy service provider edikoo exceeds the 300,000 market locations mark in the handling of energy data management processes with the KISTERScloud solution.

In order to handle complex or time-critical processes in an efficient, targeted and cost-saving manner, more and more energy suppliers are joining forces in cooperations and handling their business processes such as energy procurement, sales and grid operation jointly via a service provider. This service provider requires a multi-client capable software solution with which it can efficiently handle both the overall task and the individual cooperation partners.

The Bad Iburg energy service provider edikoo GmbH & Co. KG uses the tried-and-tested energy data management solution BelVis+ from the Aachen-based IT provider for the energy industry KISTERS. As a result, edikoo recently exceeded the 300,000 mark for market locations and now serves 29 clients for eight municipal utilities in the electricity and gas sectors with the KISTERS EDM from the KISTERScloud. “The KISTERS solution supports us with end-to-end process workflows from offer preparation to portfolio management so that we can offer all participating municipal utilities the handling of MaBiS and GABi processes for grid and sales as a high-quality complete service,” says Stefan Ballmann, Managing Director of edikoo. “And because we use the solution as software-as-a-service via the Internet, we don’t need any additional IT staff or expensive servers.”

Consistent processes not only within a market role, but also across roles and departments, ensure low cost-to-serve (CtS) for energy suppliers and service providers such as edikoo, as everyone involved works with the same IT solution and uses role-specific web interfaces. edikoo also provides its customers with the KISTERS solution for handling processes that are upstream or downstream of sales, such as the preparation of offers for special contract customers or procurement.

Fast time-to-market thanks to cloud solution

KISTERS operates the mass data-capable solution for edikoo web-based in the security-certified KISTERScloud and takes care of updates, backups and IT security, among other things. New cooperation partners can be integrated quickly using a template. Such cloud solutions can also be set up quickly for new collaborations and other IT services such as metering point operation.
