How you can contribute:

  • Implementing business requirements and developing innovative environmental data solutions to enhance our products
  • Designing, implementing and refining advanced analytics for dynamic backends and web workers in Rust in close coordination with frontend developers and our data scientists
  • Support the integration of large-scale data dissemination systems for environmental data for regional, national and international agencies
  • Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to optimise software performance
  • Automating operational tasks, such as CI/CD pipelines, to streamline and accelerate the development process

Your Profile:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (BSc/MSc)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in building production-level software products
  • Strong expertise in Rust with substantial experience in the language; additional programming languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript are advantageous
  • Experience in system administration (e.g., Linux, Kubernetes) would be beneficial
  • Creativity and curiosity, with a proven ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
  • Knowledge of meteorology, hydrology, or water resource management is advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are essential; German is a plus
