How you can contribute:
- Implementing business requirements and developing innovative environmental data solutions to enhance our products
- Designing, implementing and refining advanced analytics for dynamic backends and web workers in Rust in close coordination with frontend developers and our data scientists
- Support the integration of large-scale data dissemination systems for environmental data for regional, national and international agencies
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to optimise software performance
- Automating operational tasks, such as CI/CD pipelines, to streamline and accelerate the development process
Your Profile:
- A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (BSc/MSc)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in building production-level software products
- Strong expertise in Rust with substantial experience in the language; additional programming languages such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript are advantageous
- Experience in system administration (e.g., Linux, Kubernetes) would be beneficial
- Creativity and curiosity, with a proven ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
- Knowledge of meteorology, hydrology, or water resource management is advantageous
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are essential; German is a plus
