Inter- and Intranet Access on WISKI DataWater Resources Management System KISTERS - the Water Resources Information System"
... consists of a dedicated amount of pages, graphs, and tables; this system allows user interactions by provided hyperlinks but without free configurations of input parameters.
Maps
WISKI The maps have to be preprocessed with a GIS system into simple GIF or PNG images which are sized to fit the the screen. The maps are sensitive to the catchments (a mouse-click leads to another more detailed map) and to the station (mouse-click leads to a station page). The station symbols are displayed on the fly - every time you open a page the symbol comes direct from the database. The station symbols are also sensitive to the mouse. Every time the mouse is moved over a station a small fly-over window becomes visible showing current station data. simple map
Lists
WISKI Web Public knows parameter lists with all stations a the most current data regarding the specific parameter. Station names are sensitive and lead to a station page. simple map station list
Station page
The station page shows the most current information relating to the station such as time series charts with different predefined time periods (week, month, years). The user may also access all existing parameters and time series data in CSV-format. simple map station details
Data transfer
At the first level WISKI Web Public is an internal system using dynamic database access. By using the WISKI Service Provider the internal pages can be periodically accessed by an automatism. The pages are then converted and transferred to the public web server via FTP (or other means).
