Employee qualifications and continued education
... is incorporated into the KISTERS quality management system as a main theme. Educational needs are regularly discussed in employee meetings as well as directly assessed based on project needs and product development. Additional training is planned and arranged with the goals of continuous employee development in individual fields and multi-field qualifications, e.g. in the areas of communication and organization.
The education and additional training of our employees in the areas of relational databases, operating systems, and developmental tools is of central importance. Therefore, a number of developers have additional personal qualifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional). The employees are regularly trained in their fields in order to keep abreast of the latest developments.
Certified technological partner
Since the software in the business division of environmental information technologies is mainly developed on the basis of large relational database management systems (RDBMS), KISTERS is a certified partner of the following software companies:
Oracle Certified Partner
Informix Premium Partner
Sybase Development Partner
Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP)
In addition, there are many competent advisors that can provide support to KISTERS in special cases. The expert knowledge is continuously expanded through cooperative programs with institutions of higher education and consulting firms.
Engineers and degreed specialists
There are engineers and degreed specialists available in every product area for product development and project management, who have gained expert knowledge from relevant university studies and/or doctoral programs and who have proven themselves in practice through customer consultations and service projects. These expert employees give valuable ideas and input when designing KISTERS software. They are involved in continued project development or directly involved with the design from the beginning of the project in order to meet customer needs using IT-specialist teamwork, and to guarantee the realization of the project from a user and functionality point of view. They are present throughout the entire development process.
IT engineers, data processing engineers, and qualified IT technicians work together in the area of software development. The software developers are very familiar with the technical requirements and problematic areas of design due to close communication with the corre-sponding team of experts and many years of product experience.
During software development and later during installation at the customer’s place of busi-ness, expert employees are again responsible for quality assurance. They perform extensive software tests in order to test the functionality of the software from an end-user’s point of view, and to train the customer to use the software. Information flows freely between the customer, team of experts, and software developers.
