More than forty years ago, the story of our company began. With the launch of an engineering company for hydrological engineering and water management, Heinz provided a basis for that, what we are still doing today in an advanced form. Right from the start the goal was to develop sustainable innovations that could fulfil the emerging and ever growing demands for the analysis, control and management of resources.
From the mid-eighties of the twentieth century, when we first brought a software solution for the digitization of water level data on the market, the demand for new possibilities in IT-management grew much faster than before. The necessity for intelligent management concerning water, energy and air was given much attention – and not only by the media but also by institutions and enterprises.
Since we were already successful pioneers in this area for over 20 years at that time, we could offer more than others. In those days our customers already benefited from our experience and expertise. And we, on our part, could resort to enough room for development and resources to meet with future challenges.
We made substantial progress in 1987 when we developed the first time series management system for national institutes for water management and launched it together with a database-based data management system. WISKI, the water management information system, had a core component that would serve as the basis for many new generations of solutions.

Our solutions from the environmental informatics core business range are scalable to all company sizes and can be used worldwide.

Among them, in the field of water, are the national Water and Navigation Administration, the Canadian Ministry of Natural Resources and the British Environment Agency, in the field of energy RWE, E.ON, the Spanish Endesa as well as the Italian Enel and, in the field of air, the German federal state North Rhine-Westphalia as well as the New South Wales Department of Environment and Conservation in Australia.
