Administration and Controling of Tertiary Reserves

Our product ProCoS MRL performs the requirements for the administration and controling of tertiary reserves for pool building.

Providers of tertiary reserves may bundle small units to reach the minimum lot size of 15 MW, which is the defined miminum for the German market. This pool building requires high qualifiction in automization. ProCoS MRL is the base to enable total fulfillment of a demand of reserves.

General System Functions

  • Automatic import of available power from operators via Excel
  • Import of auction results
  • Input for URL-calls
  • Selection of technical units for a possible delivery process
  • Start and control the start up operation and eventually switching ON / OFF of further technical units
  • Control the tertiary delivery, additional starting of aggregates and eventual power reduction
  • Start and control the retraction operation
  • Archive the partial deliveries and the total deliveries for the operation protocol
  • Calculate the total deviation (each minute) on basis of the partial deliveries of the technical units
  • Online output of the total deviation to the carrier of the transfer net
  • Online visualization of all operations

Functions for the Technical Units

Beside the emergency generating unit, sales of the teriary reserves can be very profitabe for KWK power plants. The short period of time, of only four hours, allows even a participation of a thermic plant (with a corresponding thermal storage and intelligent optimizing).
