Nikola Tesla.
The cradle of electrical industry.

Nikola Tesla’s dream was to provide the entire world with electricity. After he had developed the principle for creating a rotating electric field, the ingenious idea had to be put to practical use. After many prototypes, Tesla developed the multiphase induction motor: stator coils which are in fixed contact with their casing are supplied with a two-phase alternating current. This generates a rotating magnetic field. Through induction, the central rotor receives its own magnetic field, which then tries to follow the rotating magnetic field, thus setting the rotor in motion. No commutator and no slip-contacts were required! This was the first motor that didn’t spark and squeal. Nikola Tesla’s rotary current method and his multiphase induction motor formed the cornerstone of our modern electrical industry.

BelVis Industry: Transparency on industrial estates.

The liberalisation of the energy markets affects business processes at utility companies and in industry in equal measures. For this very reason, the range of applications for KISTERS energy market systems built around the BelVis product family extends from the market roles of utility companies right through to related sectors in industry.

BelVis Industry benefits from the high level of performance of one of the leading software systems in the power industry. BelVis Industry and BelVis Energy work with shared components, complemented by specific business process modules. Together, they cover the comprehensive requirements of the market. KISTERS has successfully pursued the component software route for years and, despite the changing face of the markets, is able to offer companies a high degree of operational reliability without sacrificing flexibility.
