BelVis EDM for Sales provides all the standard functions relevant to the industry that are expected of an efficient time series management system. Besides classic time series management, these also include a running history of supply relationships. This is based on the familiar time series technology developed by KISTERS. The multilayer exchange of data is automated by import processes and an integrated plausibility checking processes, including default value substitution where necessary.
Powerful visualisation methods enhance the clarity and depth of the information supplied by the stored data. Flexible calculation methods (e.g. formula origins), in conjunction with user-configurable aggregation conditions, ensure simple and efficient segmentation of customer groups. In turn, all calculations can be automated by server processes in the interests of increasing efficiency in the sequence of operations. Naturally, BelVis also has the option of managing standard load profiles (analytically and synthetically or temperature controlled). This applies not only to already preconfigured profiles, but also to every standard load profile which can be configured to user specifications. Calendar functions, day type analyses, and configurable seasons are used in this context.
A particularly process-relevant role is played by the interfaces to upstream and downstream systems, such as Customer Relation Management systems (CRM) or consumption billing systems (VA). In this regard BelVis has interfaces to a number of standard systems (e.g. SAP, Wilken, Schleupen, SIV, Navision, IS, CURSOR) and, as such, is pressing ahead with the automation of operational sequences.
A central component in this environment is the Basic Data Importer, which is capable of transferring and analysing instance data from upstream systems. The result: even if the upstream system is only capable of passing its entire dataset at a time, the analysis capabilities provided by the Basic Data Importer mean that only changed data will be imported into Sales EDM.
Sales Structures - Successful Sales
The BelVis EDM core functions are designed to assist sales staff in structuring their data in conformity with market trends. In the rollout phase, KISTERS consultants are on-hand to shadow the integration of the company’s own sales strategy into the system configuration. Take customer segmentation, for example, into Key Accounts (large individual customers), trade customers (customers with load profile metering) and non-time-based consumers (customers without load profile metering). These segments can be further streamlined depending on the sales strategy of the respective company, or in relation to the status classification of the customers. This can be used to rank customers in the acquisition process (e.g. inquiry, bid, negotiation, verbal commitment, contract) and to allocate certain probabilities.
In addition to the BelVis EDM standard basic data specifications in the object model, user-specific extensions may be represented in the instance model.
