BelVis GAS offers the right support for any daily business requirements related to routine gas industry procedures and algorithms. This begins with the acquisition of metered data and extends right through to the transmission of the data. BelVis takes the load profile data from customers’ remote meter reading systems with flow measurement clocked at hourly intervals or measurement at interconnection and feeding points, and transfers these data to the BelVis database. All time series required are stored together with each market participant. Time series are aggregated automatically, so that all the relevant sums are always available. Quality zones and districts provide a structure for the gas networks mapped. Needless to say, the year and day of the gas supply are factored in at all times.

BelVis EDM GAS is the basic machine for the participants in the gas market. Distribution system operators have different requirements from those of gas dealers, which in turn differ from those of the transport network and storage system operators. BelVis offers software modules and customizing functions, allowing EDM GAS to be specifically targeted to the relevant factors or focused on the particular requirements of any given user.
The standard gas load profiles have been prepared for network access and billing of tariff customers. The gas distribution systems themselves are mapped according to their physical characteristics. BelVis EDM GAS administrates entry and exit points and transfer stations as instances, including their technical data, together with natural gas networks and sub-networks. The state of the gas, including its temperature, pressure or compressibility factor Z, and its calorific value are factored in as time series and allocated to the relevant instances. As such, the variable of interest in any given case - standard volume or heat flow volume - is always directly available. It is also possible to calculate the compressibility factor K in accordance with SGERG-88.
