Alessandro Volta.
The birth of electrical research.

To allow a spark to jump, there must be a voltage. The physicist Alessandro Volta was well aware of this. In 1775 he discovered the electrophoresis cell, a metal plate with an insulated handle, which with the aid of electrostatic induction, was able to store the positive charge produced by placing a negatively charged object on the underside of the plate. With this charge separation, i.e. the production of an electrical voltage, Alessandro Volta created the foundations for research into electricity.

Between transmission technology and telecontrol telemetered equipment.

The LineStar PKS process interface system is the link between the process level and the control level. It also performs the process data interchange between control centres. LineStar PKS can be used as an integral part of ControlStar as well as for connection to third party control systems. For increased operational reliability at control system level, LineStar PKS has a redundant configuration option and, with the exception of small to medium sized applications, is configured as stand-alone hardware. LineStar PKS offers a high degree of flexibility for connection of various telemetry systems, audio frequency ripple control systems, mimic diagram controls, etc. LineStar RTU8 complete the process interface system with between transmission technology and telecontrol telemetered equipment. Whether components are sourced from other manufacturers and well proven in KISTERS experience, or are alternatives requested by the customer - virtually any telecontrol telemetry modules and remote control techniques available on the market can be connected to ControlStar or LineStar PKS.
