Functional description
The telecontrol processor (TCP) controls several telecontrol interfaces (TCI), and serves as a car-rier for the telecontrol basic system (TBS) with the following functions:
Initialization of the telecontrol interfaces
Sending control commands to the telecontrol interfaces
Controlling the transmission protocols
Controlling the traffic modes (e.g. station call in multi-point traffic)
Controlling the operating mode
Pre-processing of data (comparing old and new values)
Synchronizing and comparing data received in redundant configurations via the process LAN
Preparing data for transmis-sion to the control system and responding to data sent by the control system
Managing the process image
Telecontrol interfaces
The telecontrol interfaces carry out the adaptations to the serial message formats by way of mi-cro-programming. Two types of interfaces are available and can be combined:
Ethernet interface for telecontrol connection via TCP/IP e. g. according to IEC 60870-5-104
USART telecontrol interface for operating telecontrol lines which work on serially de-signed telegram structures based on the USART frame principle
DPDM/DPCM telecontrol in-terface, can be programmed in bits in order to operate tele-control lines, which do not ful-fill the aforementioned conditions.
